Bad skin problems

Tell the vet you want a skin scraping done. And you might have to change the dog's food

what food are you feeding the dog? You are going to have to get a skin scraping to see what's going on with the dog. I'm sorry about your medical issues but honestly, when you get a dog you have to be prepared for when they get sick, etc. Dogs cost money.

My girl Layla is having some skin problems, I have had her to the vet 5 or 6 times, with 3 different vets. She is licking her paws raw. Front and back pads are just sore. The vet gives her a steroid shot most every time I take her and something for yeast. That works for a few weeks then its right back to the same problem. She has some bald places on her tail now, and she is now limping on her back right leg. She doesn’t want to put weight on it due to it being sore I’m sure. I have tried changing her food , she now eats gluten free, and no wheat or chicken meal. I I have even tried vegan. I am at a loss, I am currently awaiting an appointment with a dermatologist. Any help is appreciated. She is a Blue gray and her paws are white and so is her underbelly. She is now chewing on her inner thighs causing some bumps .
Please help!!

The last Vet told us she wouldn't treat her unless we relinquish our rights to her to the vet. Is this normal behavior? Anyone else have to give up their baby so her doctor will treat her?

That's ridiculous. ANY vet will treat your dog without having to give up the dog.
