    She is in Hampton, VA

Her new owners said she is just too much dog for them, that they love her to death and are trying, but they can't. For some reason, recently being with them, she's taken to chewing up the house and going inside no matter how often they take her out.

They are going to bring her back to me and I cannot take her again - now I have nowhere to keep her. I cannot stand to think I might have to put her down.

She was great with me, I don't understand why she's started acting like a little monster with these people.

Anyone who can give her even a temp home... ?

If it comes down to it I'm going to try with a local rescue who seems responsible, they keep the dogs are long as they have to until they find someone that is actually right for the dog.

It's not what I want to do, but I don't have many options.

Sorry to hear this, I had a Rottie I ended up taking back twice!, finally he found his permanent home, the second time I took him back I had him for over a year. Hope it works out for you.

Oh Melody I am so, so sorry. :( I know how much this family seemed perfect for her. Poor you and poor Roxy.

I'm so sorry. I have my fingers crossed.
Only person I know in that side of the country (Norfolk) has a DA rottweiler bitch. Here's hoping someone steps up.

It just goes to show that what many of us can handle with no problem, most of the "pet owners" out there cannot.
Had a similiar situation with a Sibe I placed (she was at a shelter, but I said hey go adopt that dog since you are looking for another because she was my friend's dog and she got rid of her. Really nice dog...). They are at least trying to fix the problems they created thank goodness. I don't know if they'll be able to, but at least they are trying. And they are textbook perfect Sibe owners on paper... just goes to show...

I am really considering not placing Scout because of that reality though. She really would not have much of a life in the average pet home. I shouldn't really have two dogs, but I could not live with myself with the probability her bouncing around or being set back past square one yet again if I did place her. :(

Yeah, I'm thoroughly crushed over this. I just wish they had told me sooner instead of now, when they 'needed her gone yesterday'..

Kady is helping me and Roxy the best she can and I hope it works out.

Sorry to hear that. That is why I have so many dogs! I don't have an issue with them or the issue doesn't bother me, go to a new home and bam, they are right back here.

I lucked out with Neva's new home. The owner is very open minded, saw how she was and has a very good trainer that is willing to work with them to make her a model citizen! It just takes time. The last 3 Dogos I placed where not easy placements. One killed small dogs and cats and hated other male dogs, one hated everything and was extremely reactive, and one was deaf and destructive if not properly exercised. Sometimes I was to the point of putting them down. Dexter and Neva both came really close to it. But now both are in homes and doing great. I got a video of Dexter the other day and he looks like a different dog. So there is a home for every dog, it is just finding it that is the problem!

I wish Roxy the best. She is a gorgeous girl!

Man I wish I were closer, I would help by taking her in a heart beat. Sooo frustrating. If we were able to ship her out of VA we could set up a fund to transport her......

I know :( I also have no experience shipping dogs, and I think the experience of flying would terrify her... And with this economy and gas prices.. it would take a small fortune to get her to you.

Her adopter has not emailed me back for hours..

A month.. so there was plenty of time to give me a heads up..

Gawd! It can take a dog at least a month just to settle in :(
Maybe there is some other reason that they just can't tell you about.
    Sorry about the return...

    That is so sad :(
Do they not understand that she needs to adjust?
Darla was like hell on wheels when I first got her. It was horrible, she chewed everything (including my stairs) and she would pee and poop in her crate and pee in the house no matter how often I had her out.
She is so great now! She adjusted and realized I loved her and she wasn't going anywhere... I love her almost as much as I love Bubba now lol, but honestly, she is amazing now and I'm so glad I never gave up on her.

I just can't imagine why anyone would go through the trouble of getting a dog (and convincing me) just to turn around and say out of the blue you wanted her gone yesterday..

As I said, Kady is doing her best to help me get Roxy somewhere safe.

I'm sorry we couldn't get her in :( I just hope that her adopter didn't drop her off at AC..

I didn't expect they would be able to take her in, there are so many dogs around here being dumped it's crazy..

I've sent several emails (since I accidentally deleted her number) and have gotten no reply.

Let's just hope she's having computer problems..

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I hope she is OK. I wish I could take her:(

Why do they always wait until the dog 'has to be gone ASAP'? I HATE that and everyone seems to do it and they don't even put in the effort (hire a trainer).

I did send an email about adjustment periods... but the fact I'm not getting replies is making me uneasy.
