Oh wow...typically I don't like the look of the BTs-a lot seemed to have a nose that goes down...their eyes are weird looking...and they kind of look fat to me (too many APBT pictures maybe?)...but this guy is very good looking! He even looks like a good boy. Hopefully he'll find a great family soon!

I know, though I love the BT nose and breed, they all look so fat/thick.

I really like the look of this dog, wish I had an open spot.

So do I! I've always had a thing for BTs' even before APBTs, and I've never seen one with the BT personality and that old time look.

Met him! He is awesome! He seriously looks like an APBT with a BT head.. it's.. really weird, yet cool at the same time. Super sweet guy! I was there taking pictures of a few other dogs and my friend brought him out just as I was putting my camera away so I didn't get any of him unfortunately. These pictures do him no justice.

And seriously, if you haven't been to the new Chesapeake AC, go. It's like a damn plastic surgeons office.. granite counter tops, HUGE ceilings, gorgeous floors, it's ridiculous. Unfortunately their dislike of Bully breeds and sub-par care (for the dogs anyway) has stayed the same :/

I was going to go see him yesterday, I was in Chesapeake, but the day got away and I didn't get to. I'm shocked that he is still there. Did they say if he had adopters lined up or not?

I was there last week and he didn't have anyone interested. As far as I know, he's still there!

My dad has wanted a BT for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately Jaeger stays with him and my mom while I work, and just to hang out since we live so close and he gets more freedom at their house since there are no cats, chinchillas, rats, etc. And while, yes, I could rotate, I tried that before with them and everyone who knows about Tink knows how that went, if everyone isn't super vigilant about it in the house, accidents happen. And Sparkles - while she is 'my' dog - almost always stays with my mom, she likes her company - the little fart even has her own custom bed in my parents' room.

One day. There will always be dogs needing homes, unfortunately. But I do hope he gets a good one, too many people are crazy about BTs because they look funny, they have no clue what they're getting into.

I've actually never met a BT in person, well, I met one mini who tried to eat me after the owner told me I could pet him and he was friendly. So I really wanted to go meet him and get a better feel for who he is, maybe some video to help find him a bull breed person.

    awww, what a cutie!
i personally would dff say a mix, his head looks as if it doesnt fit his body, he has a nice head and nice eyes (for the breed) and then the body looks like its from a differant breed. he is a very sweet looking boy! hope he finds a good home soon!

his body looks alot like that female i posted a while back in the BT section

Working BTs actually do look like that. As well as what they USED to look like. I know you know, but look at these guys:

Obviously he could be a mix, but usually the heads look pretty different when you mix them with the usual (APBT/Bullies etc), perhaps a grandparents or great grandparent was a Pit Bull, or other. I think this poor guy was just lost, he was found in an area that is pretty much all nature, maybe he was on a hike and took off. They aren't common dogs around here.

It wouldn't be fair to him I don't think, for me to take him. He'd need to be kenneled (like, outdoor big dog kennel) and rotated with Jaeger and probably Sparkles, she loves males but I won't trust her with another Bull and Terrier breed that is much larger than her. And then we have the cats.

Kady, I'll go look now, or contact, but do you know what their policy is with holding animals? Do they euth for room? Or would he have to show behavior issues..?

I think they try to keep them as long as possible now. I know the one dog I photographed had been there since early May so I don't think they euth for room. However, being that he's some type of Bully mix, I'm sure his time is somewhat limited :/

I saw the little Chi girl you did a photoshoot for when I was on their site.. The difference a good picture makes! you capture their souls, you do some really great stuff for these dogs just taking some time out of your day.

It's a 50 mile trip if I were to go see him - I wish I had checked the shelter location when I went the other day to help my mother get some pictures of a house she's listing, I just looked, we passed the shelter TWICE to get there (it's on Meta Pointe, a few miles past the shelter from my way) and I had no idea.

Does the shelter work with rescues? Would they be annoyed if I sent his info to Bull Terrier rescues (because I'm annoying like that and my cousin used to foster for BT rescue).

Isn't the Chihuahua cute?! I have no clue how she hasn't been adopted yet.. but thank you :) I love her picture (pulled these off of FB so they're kind of pixely)..

    Compared to:

I believe they do. I'm sure they wouldn't mind!

What you don't like is the look they go for in the show ring... No muscle, just a fat sausage with legs, tiny eyes and that over done head. :)
    I love that Chihuahua!!!
