APBA Weightpull and treadmill race

    APBA WILL BE HAVING TWO WEIGHTPULLS AND TWO TREADMILL RACES
    At

    Southern States
    3213 Taylorsville Rd
    Statesville NC 28625

    Saturday February 28– Sunday March 1
    Registration on Saturday is from 8:30-9:30
    competition starts at 10:00
    Sunday’s registration will be from 10:00-10:30 competition starts at 11:00
    Registration will be $12.00 per day
    Pro classes will be held if entries allow
    1st 2nd and 3rd place ribbons will be given for weight pull and the treadmill race
    #4# 55 under and over and most weight pulled 65 over and under trophies will be given
    Awards will be given for overall treadmill race winner
    You can register with the APBA on the day of the competition for 5.00

    I definitely want to come to this one. I want to bring Tess. She has never done weight pull or treadmill, but would you be willing to help me out or know of someone who could?

    The treadmill has an odometer attached to it. Each dog runs a certain amount of time. For example, our club sets the time limit to 2 minutes. The dog that runs the most distance within the two minutes wins.

    You know ill be there learning and having fun plus it will be kinda fun not having to worry about all the dogs i only have one pull dog, until im on my way home with one of your pups. see yall there anyone on my way from pennsylvania need a ride let me know.

    there pretty fun to watch, my 72 pound male runs in the race. He dont win but it is fun to watch.

    There is a novice class you can enter. There will be some of the best weightpullers in the southeast there, and they love to help, there will be a guy there who just does treadmill races. He has an awsome dog name Bud (he is fast).

    Last time we wanted to go, but my boyfriend was like "It's raining, and they won't have enough room to do it inside." lol. Well, this time we will come rain or shine. lol.

    Cool Hand, and anybody else out there reading this, If i know Working Class Hero than i can pretty much bet the kennel on it that this will be a classy event, and if they can't help than i know there will be more than enough people to soak up some knowledge from. Hope you make it

    just wondering will this pull be on rails or wheels not sure if i can make it i am suposed to work that week end i will try to get one day off i had a great time at the last pull at southern states i almost won body pound with TAR HEEL should be a great weight pull i will try to make it at least 1 day if i can

    Thanks Q, I dont know about classy, but it will be fun. There will be some good pullers there and alot can be learned. Plus it fun to pull inside a store People get to see our dogs that normaly dont would never come to a "show".

    BDog Hope you can make it out Tarhill if it helps we will leave our Jacks at home so you will have a better chance. LOL:rofl:

    I am off that weekend. I am off that weekend and I really wanna go. Money has held me back before and this year I have dedicated to my dogs.

    Can fixed dogs enter in the novice pulls?
