I know it's a longshot, but I'm going to be at the Syracuse Dock Dogs competition this Friday by myself and have no one to take photos! I don't have ANY photos of Spanky competing and just figured I'd see if anyone is in the area and might want to watch some jumping! :dance2:

Just ask someone with a nice camera when you get to the event. I am sure someone will email you some photos. Most photographers enjoy taking pictures of new subjects.

Ditto this.. I just kinda creep around and see who is taking shots and talk to them.

Also, are you a member of any FB groups for regional affiliates? They'll often have connections and share the albums other participants post/share.

If I was at an event and someone asked me politely. I would be happy to take photos for them.

I love free photos that is why I wrangle my family but almost every event has a professional photographer see who that is and grab a card they usually get the best shots

Well we went, and he got first place novice (YAY!) but no pics. Between wrangling his obsession with being in the water and DA, I had too much going on to even try to focus on asking someone else to take pics. It's a totally different environment from weight pull which I am used to, where pit bulls are common and DA is commonplace as well... these people seemed almost pissy that a pit bull was there and even moreso when I warned the other handlers that he was DA. But anyway. He still managed to do great, I am very proud of him! I thought of it after he was done that I should have asked if there was going to be a professional photographer there.

On a related note, we have 2 groups that are over 200 miles away from me, but none local. Which sucks. So I'm not sure if I should join up with either of them or no?

    Congrats on the win!

I am thankful that everyone mostly knows Peanut and that he's hot they give him plenty of room it sucks that you experienced this. Maybe next time ask the announcer or registration if they can make announcements to keep dogs away from each other I know around here it's announced a few times a weekend since a lot of the dogs are very da here even in other breeds because it's a game of drive they are all mostly nuts.

That stinks. I hope you have more luck at future events.

We don't have a dock diving group under 2 hours from us so it's also stopped us from doing anything.
