I have seen caimans on animal cops being kept in barrels. We went into a shop in Daytona once that had Gators in captivity, which is illegal here...he had two that were about 3.5-4 feet long.

You can have all I catch if I catch any, I dont like it. As far as salt water goes, I eat trout, grouper, clams, lobster, muscles and flounder...fresh water I eat bass, catfish, gar, gator, soft shell turtle and speck.

One day, I'll have a gator in a set up out back! I've always wanted one since I was little, and after watching the Crocodile Hunter and whatnot, I think I've got the set up requirements figured out.. should be fun!

adam - your avatar amuses me.. it says "pit bull" but the dog pictured is a staffy bull lol

I used to teach Driver's Ed. back in the day and I remember picking up a student (I did the behind-the-wheel instruction) whose dog was taken overnight by an alligator. Poor kid cried the entire time.

I have a wildlife rehab license and have raised 7 American Alligators in the past 10 years. The ones I've had were between a few months old to approx. 3-4 years of age. My goal was to get them healthy and eating properly on their own in order to get them released.

Although I must say I got the best looks from folks when walking an alligator in the front yard on a harness and leash. Hey...they need some sun, too. :sonn_u11::lol:

And for those who want an alligator, I want to remind y'all of the severe fines and possible prison time that accompany illegally owning such a creature. ;) Go about it the proper, and legal, way.
