Next week he will be 8months old, weighing 35lbs. I have no idea what kind he may be, i do think he must be mixed to be this small at this age. Any ideas?

Best to ask the breeder or person you got him from if he’s mixed or not. Cos without a pedigree non of us can say if he’s pure or a crossbred. At 35lb @ 8 mths he’s bigger than a few of mine are mature, and will probably mature to be heavier than em all.

I got him off of craigslist. People said he was pitbull. His older dogs did not like him so he had to get rid of him So i dont have much info. I jst feel if he is on the small side (id want to get him to where he should be) of if i need not to worry, that possibly he is mixed with a smaller breed. Maybe im a little worried about his weight for nothing, mom instincts i reckon. Lol

Very cool-looking dog! And looks nicely-built. I can see Pit Bull in him, but can't be sure he's purebred. Even if he is a pure-bred Pit Bull, he is NOT too small! He'll probably mature around 40-45 and while that is smaller than many of the Pit Bulls you see today, he really is the more "classic-sized" dog. No need to worry.

Thank you everyone!! I love how unique he is. Being that i am pretty small, ill be glad if he stays on the small side. No more worrying for me. I also have a 40lb rott mix 3yrs old and Toby is beyond much smarter already.

Dog looks good weight to proportion wise. I wouldn't worry about his size much. Looks a good and healthy weight.
