    Who all here Weight Pulls?

I start imprinting dogs for weight pull young. In a harness as early as possible and feeling resistance and hearing noise behind them early on. That doesn't mean having a puppy dragging tons of weight or maxing out young dogs before they are physically or mentally ready, but getting them used to...

    My dog got attacked

If you're not going to compete with him in conformation or other events, it doesn't matter in that regard. But yes, if his bloodlines are bully lines, then he's not an APBT and you shouldn't call him one.

    9 month old pitbull

APBT are very unlikely to come in blue (no such thing as a "blue nose pit") and he has an overall bulkier look than an APBT. but if we can see his pedigree that will tell us for sure, because certain bloodlines are bully and others are APBT. Unfortunately, there are many bully breeders who...

We had a bad day today.

I remember being "in shock" too. pretty soon you don't even think about it. The dog I was referring to of mine is like the biggest weird dorky dog out of all of them, and he's still that same dog, even if he isn't trustworthy around the others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We had a bad day today.

I would use a muzzle as a last resort only. At least with my dog, it only increased his frustration and honestly they aren't foolproof. I would work on recall, leash manners and focus first. Loose dogs are always an issue, but for the most part, you can prevent other dogs from getting within...

    Misunderstood Nanny Dog?

Unfortunately many self proclaimed "pit bull advocates" have brought on a lot of this damage themselves in my opinion. Blatantly ignoring breed history has provided pro-BSL/anti pit bull folks with all the fuel they need to "prove" that "pit bull advocates" are foolish, selfish and pretty much...

    Weight Pull Sled

Lol I keep them in my car too (chains in front on floor, weights in the trunk) but they work so well it's worth the stares... Plus it's a good workout for me moving 70 lbs of chain around and switching stuff around for different dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Weight Pull Sled

I know someone who makes them and ships them - however, if you aren't married to the idea of a sled may I suggest chains and (if you need them) window weights? I find they are a better workout and a lot quieter.

Weight pull cruelty in my city?

As far as I know there are no laws in TN specifically regarding weight pull. I know that there are active clubs in the state and in the south, if you're concerned you could always talk to your local police department and explain to them what you are doing so if you do happen upon someone who...

Weight pull cruelty in my city?

I know that there is at least one city or county (somewhere in the south... maybe one of the Carolinas?) that has some sort of "over drive" law that applies to weight pull (sad and pathetic.) I think most states have "over driving" laws (NY included) but that applies to livestock like horses. My...
