    I have been in dog rescue for several years and have 3 rat terrier rescues. My last rescue was a full blooded Red Pit puppy that was about to be thrown in a shelter due to the family moving (along w/her mother and 2 brothers). She is now a little over a year old. I am a retired Teacher and I have now developed a desire for working to provide education to society instead of stereotypical wrong info about pits; as well as fighting BSL. Her name is "Weeko", which is Native American for "pretty girl". My furbabies are my life, since my human babies left home years ago. Yes, I call Alaska home and have lived here over 30 years. Hoping to get to know a great deal of people that share my love and interests of pitties/terriers!
