Default RIP Princess

Lost my best and most loyal friend this weekend. Has been a sad weekend for me. Princess has been a great dog. Improving her weight pull career cut short she was one hell of a worker.

I'm so very sorry; I know words can not heal your pain.

Was she ill or was this an unexpected event?

I'm sure she is happy and pain free playing over the Rainbow Bridge while watching over you

Its never easy to lose the ones we love, especially those we're so close to.

About a 1.5 years ago, I lost an animal that was very dear to me named Noodle. I was having so much trouble coping with his death that I basically had my family watch my every move. I was having trouble just making it day to day. Somehow, I stubbled on a site that had recommendations for letting go. The suggestion was "keeping something of theirs with you always". I woke up that night with probably a life-saving idea and later that week I went out and had Noodle's footprint tat'd on my back. Now he is with me always.

Perhaps this doesn't apply really closely...but I always mention it to pet owners that have had a really close bond with their pet. Everyone is touched in a different way. I hope the grieving process is an easy one for you and you are left with hundreds of happy memories.

well i was hesatent about posting what happened but i,ll go ahead.

It was all my fault I already know that. Well that night I worked the dogs alot so I cut corners and put princess on magyar's chain spot. I aleady had magyar out and getting ready to put princess up. I put her on his chain spot and magyar stayed inside with me that night. Well 1 am everything was fine because the dogs were barking and I went out to check on them Well 9:30 my neighbors came to me with princess in her arms. She managed to jump the fence next to the chain spot and hung her self. Well before all of this i moved the chain spot closer to the fence so the dogs were not so close together. I have no problem with magyar jumping on the fence so when I put princess there it didn,t cross my mind at the time. It happend to be 13" to long to be able to jump over the fence. turns out the neighbors but there little yappy dog right next to the fence next to the chain spot on the other side.

Irresponsibility at it's finest, ladies and gentlemen. What is wrong with you? And then you have the balls to blame the yappy dog that lives next door to you?.......God help your other dogs......you better go light a candle for yourself because you need all the help that you can get. You don't deserve the breed......at all.......

Oh wow, Michele I can totally understand your feelings ... but I also hate to see someone "kicked when they're down" ...

To me the story reinforces a belief I hold that has already been shown to be very unpopular on this forum: Chains suck

Buddysmom: Chains do not suck, it's the ignorant owners behind the chains that suck.......if Sedalia had the correct setup, this would not have happened. And as far as kicking him when he's down, who gives a shit. What about the dog that died because of his ignorance? I'm sorry, but I've been holding this in since yesterday when I read this.

Don't blame the chain, blame what's behind that chain.....ask Sedalia if he moved that chain spot.......i bet he did.....

I blame both. Chains do suck. I'll not debate it here but maybe I'll revive the other recent thread about it or start a new debate one. I know I'm the only one here who believes this but that's OK.

As far as kicking someone when they're down, I relaly do understand how you feel and I do also feel more for Princess in this case, but she is already gone and Sedalia is obviously remorse.

Chains aren't responsible for this mess, sedaliapitbulls is. "It didn't cross my mind at the time" makes perfect sense...you've gotta have one for something to cross it.

A little analogy here: Chains for dogs are kinda like bungee cords for people. I personally have hope that sedaliapitbulls' bungee cord drags the ground before he makes the jump.

I'm with Michele. Perfectly good example of why THE REST OF US have to deal with a bad rap on the breed..."owners" like this are rucking fetards.
