A couple of things about Lucy's Dog House. We donate a portion of our proceeds every month to a variety of Dog Rescues. I am a Great Dane owner and huge supporter. I support six different Great Dane Rescues through the year revolving among the six month to month.

This month I am sponsoring, www.birchhaven.org. Birch Haven Rescue and Rehab is a great rescue where the owners/operators really make a difference. They take in a lot of danes that are injured with the extensive vet bills that go with them. They care so much that they gave 20K of their own money to operate the rescue. They are not part of Bill Gates crowd either, more just like you and me. They get 5% of my sales no matter what. But if someone uses the coupon code: rescue, I give an additional 10 percent of that purchase. Plus I give the customer 5% off as a way of saying thank you.

As a side note, I am actively looking for rescues and other pet related charities to partner with for a different type of program. The rescue gets a coupon code and anytime anyone uses it the rescue gets 10 percent of the purchase price. Plus the customer gets free shipping regardless of order size. If purchases go over $500 for the month, the rescue gets 20% of the purchases above $500.00.
