Default Flirt Pole/change someones mind about them

Can anyone give me advice on what to do here I think this would be a great activity for Kiara and Simba even. But my hubby thinks that we shouldn't do this cuz it strenghtens the neck and jaw muscles of the dog. Any advice on changing his mind...lol

LMAO...well you could tell him that their jaws and and neck are what they are already, and while it will strengthen them a little it is nothing that will change drastically, by far. It is good exercise and more of workout on the rest of their body, not so much the neck and jaws...... their jaws are already strong enough to hold them on the springpole....SOOOOOO......
Just tell him this:

As long as the spring pole is in the proper position/height then the workout will benefit the body of the dog, not the head! There.....

The feet should ALWAYS touch the ground, the pole should never high enough that they hang when they are holding.........

Thanks FK sometimes hubby and I don't agree on the dogs...lol But I just can't get him to understand that its not going to change them drastically. Cuz I have been "studing" up on this and I think that it would be great for her and benefit the whole body more then the head. But for some reason he is being pig head...lol I was just trying to find somehting constructive for her to since she doesn't like to play fetch. I mentioned it to him and he won't hear me out! Hell I even printed info out on it and he still is being a jerk

I wan't goin to post this cuz I thought god they are goint to think I'm an idiot..lol Them I like screw it I need someone to help me change his mind.

For now I understand that it should be fairly low since she is a pup and is only about 17in tall.

She is 19 wks. If I shouldn't do this do you have any other ideas for her? She doesn't like fetch with ball or anything. We go on walks but I think she needs something more.

oh no.....no need for that...just walk her and play with her....a LITTLE tug will not hurt, but I mean a little......nothing strenuous, it is not good for her, not yet. walks, runs/jogs, MAYBE a little flirt, just for a minute, nothing strenuous there either though, just take it easy if you do anything besides fetch, walks, and runs.....you do not want to hurt her before she matures.
Try some hides to play with her...our dogs did not like balls either....but they will tear up some hide! Pm Boogieman or Stillwater! They can both hook you up!

And when she matures and is old enough FOR the flirtpole, I suggest that you massage her and do some minor stretches BEFORE working her out on the flirtpole. Give her a nice 10-20 minute walk BEFORE working her out on it, too.
It's important to do these things to warm up her muscles and to take care of her joints.

I was an idiot when I started Ella out on the flirt. I just would start her and let her run non-stop with it for 10-20 minutes at a time (2 times a day). And then, then I'd be wondering why she was all stiff the next tday! DUH. Because I just started her out cold with no stretches, masages, or walks to warm up her muscles and joints. SOME dogs can do this, but mine cannot and I do not recommend anyone doing it without warm up exercises first.

Ella can be a lazy dog. Don't get me wrong, she can be ready for anything in a split second, but rarely does she bother me for walks or runs. So...she was in kind of a couch potato state before we started out regular work outs. Think of it as a human working out. If you never jog, but start out by jogging 5 miles a day, you're going to have sore muscles and sore joints the next day. AND if you don't stretch properly beforehand, you can cause damage.

Just my opinion.
