... When I finally got around to submitting my nomination selection for “Dog of the Month” for April, I noticed that Rowdy already had enough nominations for the vote stage. I therefore did not nominate Rowdy.

I felt there are many others who deserve “Dog of the Month” besides Rowdy. I still had a very difficult time narrowing my choices without choosing Rowdy. Some of those I nominated made it to the vote stage and some did not, but all of them deserved to and others as well.

While I did not nominate Rowdy, rest assured that I did vote for him of course. Someone else hit the nail on the head and said it best, “...you better go to bat for Rowdy first. He looks like he'd do it for you!” And, I am sure we all feel the same about our dogs.

I have been asked by staff to provide pictures of Rowdy in this thread. I will provide pics and Bio shortly.

Thank you all very much from my heart, for not only supporting Rowdy, but for supporting some guy known as JoeBingo as well. I have learned so much here and certainly not just about dogs. I sincerely hope that in every way, I will be able to return that support.

Biography for Rowdy

Who knows what blood courses through Rowdy? Both his sire and dam were said to be “Pit Bulls” by his BYB owner. Rowdy came to me from the neighborhood streets. Once I located the owner and returned Rowdy, he continued to escape and journey the several blocks to my home. He did so often, that the owner finally gave Rowdy to me. Rowdy found me. He now has a forever home.
