I was in the elevator and this girl had a book on the Maltese. I asked her if she was going to be getting one. She said: I already have one so I am reading up on them. The dog is crazy. The dog is 10 weeks old.

Why can't people read up first on their breed of choice before getting the dog? Is this too much to ask? Are people that ignorant?

Because they don't think ahead when they purchase or adopt a dog. They purchase the cute little puppy on impulse.

I totally agree...I think most people choose a dog based on looks vs. temperament, or breed charecteristics.
