Default Sick - Advice needed!

I rarely get sick but might be now, and I have to go to CA Wednesday to work a 4-day trade show

How can you tell between a cold or something else like respiritory flu?

DH has had chest/head congestion, terrible coughing and on-and-off fever for over a week and is just starting to get better. I wanted him to see a doc but he refused.

Now I am feeling overall weakness, chest tightness and congestion ... but no fever.

Can anyone advise if it would be of any use to see a doctor or not? I know if it's a cold there's nothing they can do ...

Any discharge when coughing or blowing? Go by color (gross for sure, but yellow and green mean infection) and fever, if you start feeling punkish, start taking aspirin every 5 hours now, and pump yourself full of Vit. C and D, echinacea, and hopefully you'll stave this sucker off.

Now, go make a tissue dance (blow a little boogie in it ) and feel better !

I wish you the best - where in Cali is the show?

Who knows, we could meet up (I'll bring Kleenex)?

Thanks everyone!

Went to the doc. Whatever is in the cough syrup he prescribed, I am feeling NO pain. Think I'll go to Disney Land!
