Default Evo was bought out!

I walked into my local pet store and was immediately approached by the owner letting me know the following .....

Procter & Gamble Co. has signed a deal to buy privately held pet food company Natura Pet Products Inc., the consumer products company said Wednesday. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Natura, whose brands include Innova, Evo, Healthwise and Karma, sells its products mostly at specialty pet stores and through veterinarians in the U.S. and Canada. The privately held company is based in Davis, Calif.
Procter & Gamble said the acquisition gives it access to the holistic and naturals pet food segment, which will complement its existing Iams and Eukanuba brands.
Procter & Gamble hopes to close the deal in about a month.
Last month Procter & Gamble, which makes Tide detergent, Pampers diapers and other products, reported that its fiscal third-quarter profit dipped 1 percent but revenue rose 7 percent as households around the globe responded to new products, price cuts and stepped-up advertising.

I do not know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. If they do not change the reciepe or quality of ingredents the price might go down. But since they are a big name company, they might try to screw with things and that would be bad. I am on the fence with this one.

I don't think they will mess with the recipe, you might see lower prices or more coupons and special offers.

That would be cool if they did that. Hopefully, they do not mess with the quality. That is the only thing I would really see happening.

Oh yeah you can bet your ass the price will go down LMAO! You know how I know? I just put Bronson on raw a month ago and quit using EVO hahahahahahahaha!

So far I am thrilled with the results.

Good luck to all of you who continue to use the product. It is an awesome feed that I was pretty dang happy with for over 3 years. I had to drive 40 miles to get it though and I can actually feed raw cheaper if I watch the sale ads and buy at the right times. The freezer is full now and we are rollin'!

Honestly even if they don't change the quality they may lose my business. I have a really big problem with huge corporations and their "ethics".

P&G also push iams and eukanuba....really think it won't change? whenever high quality foods get bought by companies pushing yuck foods the high quality usually drops your pet ends up sick (i.e. Nutro..bought by Mars). i don't see anything good coming from this. i am glad i feed orijen

Still wondering why Innova sold out? And I personaly agreed that they will change the indridents and just use the name. And is this why they didn't ask me for my name and number today for the program that Innova has? This is BS!

Man...... I am really worried about my cat. He is diabetic, and the EVO canned is the only food we've found that keeps his blood sugar levels where the vet wants them (in addition to his insulin shots). If they change the recipe, I'm not sure I'll be able to find a good low-carb wet food option.... ugh. Maybe I'll just go ahead and buy up all the cans I can find now - just in case.

the store owner said it was sold because the owner is old and very sick and that his family wants no part of the business. Lost my business this is the last bag they will be eating of evo. P&G has such a nice history of animal testing .
