That really sucks! How about them showing APBTs doing SAR, therapy work, agility weight pull etc instead of them always bashing our dogs and showing irresponsible owners!!! UUUUUUGH I Hate the media

But if there is abuse going on shouldn't it be reported?

No, not even if it's true?

You have investigative journalists who are trying to expose people who are abusing pit bulls.

And therefore they are doing a bad thing.

I know of no other animal advocates who would villainize people who are working to protect the animals they love ...

... yet I know why, because any negative press about the APBT is seen as promting BSL.

I don't know the solution but I find it horribly sad and wrong, all around

Reporting abuse is one thing, and needed , but usually the media turns it into a bash the pit bull field day from most other reports I've seen run. Did anyone watch this one? I mised it. Was it fair? If so then I wouldn't have an issue with it.

I just hate those one sided reports against the breed.

I agree they are usually one sided and when this happens it does promote BSL ... and "the media" have no idea I bet how much misery they are contributing to when they do this.

You all will see though I tend to give the media some benefit of doubt until they prove to be unfair. I have seen some improvement at least as far as some of the major newspapers; I also believe that BSL is a crisis that won't be solved without the media's help ... and the knee jerk kind of "media sucks always" reaction doesn't help the cause.

I didn't catch this particular show either. Forgot all about it with the Pistons game and all But I would love to see if anyone could dig it up.
