You can get a clicker at your local pet store. Here is a thread on clicker training.

Your current dog is not too old to train with a clicker. Here is another link you might find helpful. http://www.clickertrain.com/whatis.html

It's never too late to train a dog. The sooner you train Diezel, the better. Pups learn quick with trained dogs helping them.

Is the new pup a full brother or does he have a different mother?

JRS That was the first thing that jumped out at me.

Since I don't clicker train I can't help on that side, but I will say that 6mo is not to old to start.

It can be an issue being that dog aggression is excepted as a trait and may not come out until the dog is 2-3 yrs old when they mature. Also both dogs are male making it more of an issue.

The main issue is that the person breeding, bred the female back to back. This is not only bad for the female, but looks very poorly on the person breeding. Do you know the age of the breeding pair of dogs?

Two is a little young to be breeding isnt it? I know some people here who do breed so id love to hear their imput.

Im guessing these dogs havent been heart or hip checked either?

Honestly BigBen, I wouldnt be getting another pup until you have your first one trained. Concentrate on one at a time.

At around two and two litters, it sounds like the person "breeding" these dogs is only in it for some money and not for the health or quality of dogs. This doesn't mean great dogs can't come from this breeding, but it is not the objective of the "breeder".

Having 2 adolescent male APBTs in the same household is going to be a problem. Especially full brothers from a BYBer. If your pup is 6mo then that would mean this litter was bred 2 months after your pup was weaned. Not a good idea even for a fully health tested animal. This new up is coming from an animal that didn't have time to recover from the first litter. This pup has the potential to be unhealthy due to lack of nutrients esp. if the breeder isn't feeding a quality feed. Please walk away from the new breeding and focus on your current pup; no good breeder would allow a dog to have 2 litters within 6 months.

As for leash training, use the search, there are several good threads. Make the dog walk next to you and if he pulls stop, make him sit then proceed, repeat, repeat.... and he should get it.
