Oh man... I so could not own a bull terrier. I just couldn't look at their face and give them any boundries! They'd get away with murder! lol I know someone with a miniature and another person with a standard and they just make me crack up! The miniature moves sideways like a crab when he's unsure of things! lol He kept trying to hump Nyx and she gave him the business and it freaked him out so bad he bit his own tongue! lol Man... those two keep me in stitches! Such characters!

I noticed that! It's weird, I meet so many dogs named Zoe. Even one of my fosters had her name changed to Zoey! lol I noticed the mud bath! My son wanted to know if that was actually a facial mud bath or was she just having fun in the mud! lol

Default Funny photos would be a good fund raiser...

We took in ANOTHER puppy today nine month old boy white I have not even picked him up yet.

Changing subjects, when I saw that photo and the discussion after it I though how cool would it be if we did a contest for funniest photo fundraiser?

We would use the money for Health, Rescue, or divide it. If everyone submitted one photo and pledged a dollar or 5 then the winner would get a painting of the dog of their selection donated by SFBTRL, we think its a good idea. Of course yours truely would do the painting....

So, Joe, you're a painter, too?

The contest sounds like a good idea!

I have been painting since 7, I have an art history but only paint for the benefit of dog charities. I even pay for my own materials and shipping, its just something I have always done.

Vastly my subjects are bullies but as you can see I have painted other images by request for the dog charities.

That was the last photo I took of her before she died of renal failure. She became a symbol for the K9kidney foundation, which I painted the large french floral for and the same year I did Bree which you know Julie Grider, that was hers. They sold that at the california shows a few years back for the minis.

Thank you for your kind words, she is always in my heart even after all these years and all these rescues later.

Default MSN alert in Volusia County

I received an email today that showed some very interesting facts about Volusia County. As much as I loved living there, the median income was one of the reasons I came down to the Boca area to work and be with my sister was the second reason.

The County is very low on the income scale as shown here: Yet what will they charge for the fees? hmmmm.

North Las Vegas median income $58,485
Altered dog fee $10.00
unaltered dog $30.00

Santa Cruz median income $74,559
alerted dog fee $8.00
unaltered dog $20.00

San Mateo Median income $70,819
Altered dog fee $12.00
unaltered dog $30.00
(unaltered wolf hybrid only $21.00)

Palm Beach County Median income $61,200
altered dog $15.00
unaltered dog $75.00

Volusia county median income $41,000
altered dog undetermined
unaltered dog undetermined.

The information came from Beth in Volusia County, where I just got back from on my way to try to save a mom stuck in a chicken coop used for puppies, and we took one out. It is a mix but 90% bully if that even matters to us in the least. This was in Polk County where the rescue took place.
