Default Is rex skinny

He is 9 weeks and i can feel his ribs and some times his ribs show on a certian position. and his shoulders sometimes show if he sits in a certian way. I'll post pictures of him soon. I have my camra right here. the vet said he was average weight.. And he eats/finishes 1 full bowl of dog food a day.

If the vet says he's good then I'd believe him. All too often people think their dogs are too skinny when they are the perfect weight. Plus, he's a pup, he's gonna go through lots of different stages.

When my Boston curls up into a ball, her spine sticks out. My friends yell at me and tell me she's too skinny. But she's perfect.

You said he is 9 weeks and he eats one full bowl? May I ask what food you feed, how often you feed and how much you feed?

Knowing this can better answer your question!

well I am not sure what Ultra is, but feeding the 3 times a day is good...but you should follow the directions on the bag as far as the amount goes....filling the dog up in the Am will not put healthy weight your pup...will just make him miserable....NOW....after having said that...I am pretty positive that your pup is far from skinny. Probably a little overweight, at this point would be my guess...and because he 9 weeks..thats not too bad...but I would not let it continue!

I don't know about that ^^^ but he looks nice, and plump, and his coat looks good in the pics. If the vet gave his blessing rest assured that he is growing fine. Again...he looks plump, and I dont know whats skinny about him, but remember that just like with humans genetics plays differently on pups. Different frames, body types, etc with in a breed.

What is his weight at 9 weeks BTW?

I responded in your picture thread. IMO, he looks to be at an ideal weight and definitely is not skinny.

Are you feeding the pup all at one sitting? If so split the total amount into at least 2 better yet 3 feedings. In the pup's picts the weight looks fine. Just monitor it

Enjoy: they grow up way toooo fast

Nope. He eats 1/3 of the bowl at 7-8 am. Then at 2-3 pm he eats 2/3 bowl. Then after i eat dinner he usually finish's the bowl.
