Default is my puppy too small?

Hi there!
I've got my first pitbull named Kona and she's just over 6 months. She was the runt in the litter and started out small. I am just curious if she is growing at the right rate for her age...she's pitbull terrier, 6 months, and barely over 36 pounds. She is very healthy and eats and exercises well, but she just seems to be so much smaller than every other pit we see.

Am I just paranoid or is she stuck as a runt?
These are the most recent pictures of her.

APBT's are a medium breed. There are actually quite a few who are in the 40 pound range as mature adults, and some of us prefer them that way
She's a cute pupper. Enjoy her!

I remember asking this same question when i first got mine. Your dog is fine shes in the right track. PRobably the ones that you see that are over done, that weight 100 pounds are probably not pitbulls,

When GG was six months she was under 30 pounds, she will be 3 years old next month or so and she now weighs 56 pounds....( i think, have to ask Judy for sure, she takes the dogs to the vet for their check ups)

36 lbs is a good weight.

I have a 1 year old rescue that is 35 lbs... and a 13 year old boy that has always hovered around 60 lbs ... they're all different! As long as she looks healthy (not too fat or too thin for her bone make up) that's what matters most!

She definately looks like a pitty and you have to remember she is a female, they are always smaller. She looks healthy. You dont really want her to be a big beast. I agree, the large ones are usually not true APBTs. There is something else going on in the mix of those. Are you positive on her age? She does seem to look closer to 4-5 months to me. Not that Im an expert, but just looking at her fur at her underside, she looks pretty soft yet.

She looks perfect for her age! She's a doll too. I love the last picture. I doubt she gets in trouble much with that sweet, sweet face.

She looks fine to me. I have a pit mix who is about 6mth old who probley weighs less than that. I dont think she was the runt, but she is purdy tiny to still below the knee.

Most of the "pits" you see nowadays are big compared to decades ago. Your pup is just the right size and weight.

she looks and sounds beautiful and healthy. My 9mo female weighs 42 lbs. Both are only slightly below (if at all) the average size for an APBT.
