some people dont read words by the order of the letters but by what letters are used. so as long as the first and last or in order most people can read it.

The majority of Americans should be able to read and comprehend this little story rather ____. Sadly in the United States most cannot. It appears that those with average reading skills and education levels above fifth grade are able to do so. I suppose that says very little about todays ___________.

Then you have those people that are reading htis now as I read and type and have not even noticed that all of the letters are scrambled in every word except the first and last letter.

I may have even made a mistake but you probably would not catch it, unless you ____ each word.
