Default PIT BULL HATER running for PRESIDENT?

f Rudy Guiliani is the president, KISS YOUR PIT BULLS, PIT BULL MIXES AND PIT BULL-LOOKING DOGS GOOD-BYE!

It's official, he's going for the Presidency in 2008. All other issues aside, Pit Bull owners concerned about BSL should NOT support Guiliani. He has expressly stated that he believes Pit Bulls should be exterminated. He tried to pass a law in NY imposing very strict regulations against Pit Bulls. He has made no secret of the fact that he despises Pit Bulls. He wanted to ELIMINATE HEARINGS on dangerous dogs and let cities DESTROY pets without such a hearing.

Any politician that advocates ELIMINATING due process HEARINGS for any reason is NO politician that should be President of the United States. Hearings for people accused of committing crimes are a Constitutional Right (and most dangerous dog citations fall under the criminal code against the owner). Rudy Guiliani wants to bypass the United States Constitution and deprive people of their Constitutional Rights.

Giuliani Proposes Tough Law on 'Dangerous' Dogs, Angering Owners

New York City Mayor Giuliani administration trains its quality-of-life sights on city's dogs with bill that would increase fines for harboring dogs deemed to be dangerous, deny dogs any consideration for being provoked into barking or biting, and require owners of pit bulls to obtain $100,000 in liability insurance before being granted dog license.

I would NOT want to be Rudi when this goes down

Seriously, no Republicans for me anyway. Not in this decade at least.

I just don't see any worthy Democrat nominees. There is Hildabeast (Socialist Gun Grabber), Obama (far-left and not very experienced), and Edwards (major a$$ wipe who got rich off chasing ambulances and just a waste of air)...Of course, not many of the Republican candidates are much better, but they are the lesser of the two evils...It will come down to whom I agree with the most...If it's Rudy Vs. Hildabeast, then I'll just have to take my chances with Rudy, but I really hope that doesn't happen.

Well it's not a political debate forum but I could have sworn Rush Limbaugh just posted?

Seriously I am a "leftie" (couldn't you tell) but I also see it as always a "lesser of two evils" choice. That's one thing most Americans do agree on ... Our only choices en up being shithead 1 versus shithead 2

If your pet cause is gun rights or anti-abortion you're going to vote Republican no matter how much of an idiot loser of a candidate you may have ... that's what got us where we are ... twice.

I agree with coolhandjean. The republicans have the best candidates, and the polls show that Guiliani would beat any of the Democrats handily. The good news is that the federal goverment doesn't have the constitutional authority to ban pit bulls and even if they did, Guliani will have much bigger problems on his hands if elect president, like the Iraq war, terrorism, illegal immigration budget deficits etc.

There are other Republicans I would favour though like Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, John McCain and Mike Huckabee. Any one of these is better than Clinton, Obama and Edwards combined.

Too bad I'm Canadian and can't vote for any of them.

Being prejudiced against pit bulls crosses every party line. Ignorance about pit bulls is rampany among the highest level Democrats or Republicans and as we know, among local government too.

Now on another note bryand thank you SO MUCH for showing me the truth! If not for you I woudn't have known that Giuliani is the best! I have SEEN THE LIGHT and I am not only going to vote for him if I ever get the chance but I'm going to quit my job right now to go work on his campaign!

P.S. -- seriously I like Bill Richardson beat amongst the Democrats.

It's not a party thing.......I'm a Republican (who probably wouldn't vote for Rudy anyway) who lives in Florida and right now we have a Democratic Representative from Broward County, Perry Thurston, who wants to overturn our Florida Statute 767.14 to allow BSL into Florida. Right now, it's illegal to ban a dog because of its breed anywhere except in Miami, where Pit Bulls were banned in 1988. FS 767.14 was passed in 1990 BECAUSE of the Miami ban, and now this @sshole wants to change it. A few other Democratic lawmakers in Florida feel the same way, including a county commissioner in my county of Hillsborough, Kevin White. The bill introduced is HB 101. I am currently writing all of my Republican representatives in opposition of this bill and emailing every responsible dog owner I know to do the same. Incidentaly, most bully owners I know are Republicans. So we aren't all bad, huh? And yes I love my guns, too. I am also pro-choice. Don't touch my body, because my body is MINE!!!!

Digusting! If all pitbulls are gone, criminals will start to go after other extreme breeds such as cane corso, presa canario, fila, Tosa Inu, etc.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure that just saying Democrat is the way to go. Look at the candidates and vote for who you agree with most. And besides, I think many of us would want more than just our dogs rights protected, but also our own civil liberties. The government has become too involved in restricting the rights of the people. "Freedom" is relative.

Default Judi Giuliani bad too

Not only is Rudi a pit bull hater, his current wife Judi used to work for a surgical supply company that demostrated their staples at trade shows using dogs which they cut open and stapled up to sell doctors their staplers. The dogs either died during the demos or were killed later. Judi G. was a salesperson for this company and as a former nurse likely took part in the dog demos.

I'm not keen on the Democrats at present, as they love to enact anti-dog laws every bit as much as the Republicans, but the Giulianis are definately bad news for dogs and dog owners!

I've heard a lot of people liking Ron Paul. I want to find out more about that guy, because I wouldn't know who to vote for out of the remainder.

Let me start by saying I know NOTHING of politics, but will vote just to keep Guiliani out of office... What we need is a President that owns a Pit Bull... They couldn't destroy the First Pet's Breed, now could they? Then, we might even get a descent president...
