Post (need advice quickly) cont.

Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks again for all the replys I got for this earlier this week.
I have found and spoken with an animal behaviorist and learned alot already about dogs and kids. This dog (Mara, a rescued 4 year old pit bull) is a good girl and we are not going to give up on her just yet. We are going to meet with this animal behaviorist lady next week for a eval. We are just being safe and closely monitoring our kid and dog.
So far this week has been a good week. Mara has really gotten used to our a scedule and has done very well with it. Before, she didn't have anything. She has even gained some weight.

Ok, I will. She did already gave me alot of info over the phone. She is a very nice lady. She was just happy and impressed that we are not giving up on her, even though she snapped in our 2 year old's face. She asked what the bite marks looked like and where. She said that Mara gave a very gentle warning and actually hit her harder with her nose than anything. She also said that the dog right now, being 4, will learn more and listen more than a 2 yr old child. This lady is fond of any rescue dog and is a CPDT, CDBC and is a AKC CGC evaluator. I think we will learn a lot with her.
