| Anyone have any suggestions? This person has two outdoor cats, one indoor Pit Bull and the dog seems very fixated on the cats through the porch door. When outdoors, she will chase them over the fence and into the neighbors yard and has actually managed to jump the fence and continue the chase. Im working on some ideas for her but id love to hear if anyone has been able to successfully redirect a Pit Bull when they are in prey mode. |

| That's a tough one. From my experience here (with our three dogs and two indoor cats), I can only make the following observation and suggestion: Our dogs are fine with our two indoor only cats. However, if some silly feline decides to traverse the fence - it's a different game altogether - I pity any one that does not make his/her way to safety. Therefore, my only suggestion is to make this person's outdoor cats indoor cats (much safer for them anyway), and see if that recrreates that type of scenario that we have here? I am sure you have already suggested the usual redirection routines anyway? __________________ ![]() Marion |

Im afraid that this dog will chase the cats off for good and then there will be 2 homeless, hungry dog-hating cats out there and that wouldnt be a good thing. ![]() This is this familys first bully breed and so the concept of "redirection" isnt one they are grasping. Im trying simple suggestions at first, but what I see is a Pit Bull running the neighborhood chasing cats and a possible BAD situation coming from that. |

| That's a tough one. Is it possible to keep the bully away from the porch door - at least some of the time, so the opportunity for obsessing on the cats is - somewhat - reduced. __________________ ![]() Marion |
