Default PA APBT Clubs

I want to put a club together in my area (kind of working on something). I looked into UKC, ADBA, and AADR. I just don't have enough people yet, and most of my friends own spayed 'pitbulls' with no papers.
AADR was very nice. The only problem is, there is a club in Pottsville (or town) already. It is too far from me. I am tired of driven 2 hours to everything (because of where I live), so I want to start my own club.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or opinions would be great...thanks.

I'd contact Jackie w/ the PA Bull & Terrier Club. Join, get involved, help with shows, see what it is all about. THEN, if ya wanted to branch off into a different part of the state and only then (after you see the amount of work that goes into it) would I open a club.

JMO

We are members of a club that is based 2 hours away and have been able to be a part of it without any problem.

There is nothing wrong with 'spayed' dogs, except they can't be shown in confirmation. Both my dogs are spayed and neutered, but I don't show them, I do weight pulling. Also, one of the reasons why I wanted to start something in my area, not everyone has papers for their dog.

I will give Jackie a call. Thank you, I do appreciate the info on that.

I think the one 'bad' experience I had with one club, made me think, "Why not start my own"?
I even left a message with another club in PA, and I never heard back from them.

Thank you everyone for your comments . I will keep you posted!
