Default Deafness in white bull terriers

Well im the proad new dad of a 6week old solid white bully! We have only had him 2 days but in that time we have noticed that he does not respond to us ore squeeky toys we do all the little whistles and kisses and ever now and then he will perk his ears up and come play. I know he is not deaf my wife took a pot and a wooden spoon out in the kitchen while turbo and i where over in the living room and when she hit the pot he about jumped out of his skin lol he also barks and growls when you squeek the latch on his crate. Maybe is just hard of hearing or not use to the other sounds. The breeder told us he was not deaf and when we took him to the vet they said if he could hear the loud things he wasnt deaf and the only way would be an bear test. Maybe its just the new places and new family although it dosnt matter we love him and wouldnt trade him for anything.

could be partaily deaf.My Chloe is deaf but it does seem that she hears some stuff. If your dog is deaf though, you will soon find out that they can do an amazing job at making you think they are hearing you. They read subtle signals that you may not even realize your doing and respond to vibrations.
