So we've done the "story behind the dogs name" thread, but I have also always been curious as to the stories behind many of the members pitbull-chat handles...so please post those stories in this thread.

While names such as Alan maybe not be as exotic...I have always wondered about names such as tat2stuff, and Divine Oblivion, and many others...

Anyone ever seen the movie Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan?

I chose the name Screamin'Eagle in honor of the US Army's 101st Airbirne Division

The quote in my sig is the motto for the US Army's 187th Infantry Regiment "Rakkasans". It has the distinction of being the only Airborne unit to have fought in every US battle since the inception of airborne infantry tactics in WWII. The name Rakkasan is taken from the Japanese meaning "falling down umbrela." It was a description of what Japanese citizens saw descending from airplanes in the Pacific theatre in WWII.

As for my screenname, I chose it b/c out of all my dogs, Miakoda had worked her way into my heart as a favorite when she was just born (w/a life-threatening injury). It just stuck.

My favorite movie is Cool Hand Luke, and my name is Jeanine, but that was too long to fit as to fit the movie name. lol. So I shortened it to Jean, hence Cool Hand Jean.

Well, my first name is Ann. Then I got my hair cut and my friends said with the hair cut and my attitude I reminded them of Annie Spaddero....So my nickname became Spaddero..So aka (also knows as) spaddero

I have a lot of tattoos and I used to own and run a website called Tattoostuff.com, I sold vintage tattoo books, tattoo supplies, etc. The name stuck to me and I eventually shortened it to Tat2stuff cause it was shorter to write out. Everyone I know either calls me Tat or Stuff.

on a side note, I think me and screamin are brothers from different mothers. I was just thinking about starting a thread like this last night...and then there's the almost twin looking dogs

Comes from Apache and Patcheeno's names. Apache's name was supposed to be Apatche but I had to spell it the other way to make it fit on her registration paperwork.

Divina's registered name is Dazzle's Divine Oblivion. I knew I wanted her "call name" to be Divina so I had to work Divine in there somewhere. And, I wanted her name to reflect her deafness, hence Oblivion.

Anyway, I first decided to use it as my AIM screen name and it just stuck. It's not something anyone else is going to use so I know I'll be able to use it anywhere I go. I really like it because it makes people think.

LOL forgot about that part. 19 is the day I was born. It's my favorite number. I put it in every name I've ever had to make up. It was even my number when I played soccer in high school! lol I guess I have a bit of OCD.

Along with having a fabulous dog with the name, Purple, it's also my favorite color!

Bahamut is the dragon god from the Final Fantasy series. I added an extra "t" on the end to give it canine implications, and the name was spawned in 1999, hence the numbers.
