Kayrah has been having chronic bad breath. It used to smell like nasty feet. Lately, it's rotton fish, exactly like that. I've been to the vet, and she said Kayrah has had a stint of...some throat infection (blanking out of the name), but this is chronic now. Even after I brush her teeth, hold her mouth wide open and brush every nook and cranny. She has no real tarter, the only rotton tooth is the one that was punched out. But it's not rotten, just grey. Any ideas? She'll be going to the vet this months, as it's the annual time again, and I'll bring it up again, but you know vets/doctors. You have to suggest something to get them moving ![]() Thanks for any advice!

I really like oxyfresh products. They are natural and use oxygen to clean. I use their toothpaste and mouthwash. For the dogs I give the oral hygiene solution. If they think she has some kind of bacterial thing going on in her throat then the solution will probably help with that. ![]()

I don't have a sense of smell, but my boyfriend and others who have encountered Notch say that his breathe could knock a buzzard off of the sh*t wagon.

That one gray tooth may be the culprit, it may actually have an infection underneith it. If I am thinking about a "grey tooth" that I have seen in the hospitals I used to work at. Mouth odor usually means only one thing...think about our mouths...bad teeth/gums. I'm super glad to hear that u actually brush her teeth!!! I barley do it, and I have seen some of the worst doggie mouths worked on ever...YUK! I should know better. Def. have the doc. look at her teeth again at her annual. I know of no vet that would not recommend a cleaning...especially if it is actually necessary. It a very common practice here (NY) and comparitively to our non-insured dental care not so expensive...good luck!
