the best thing you can do is to start walking them one at a time

1) they'll feed off of each others energy, and actually influence each other to behave worse than they would by themselves

2) On a walk you are responsible from keeping your dogs under control, and also to safeguard them. If, for instance, you were attacked by another dog you would have zero control over the situation. You can not keep the other dogs out of a fight, keep from getting bit yoursels, and break up a fight. Also...the stronger these dogs get as they mature (and Dog Aggression is a very real part of this breed) the harder this will become.

Best advice...walk then one at a time!

I started off walking my pups one at a time, until they got that they need to stay near my side, and if they do go a little in front of me, they aren't allowed to pull me. Then I started walking them together (three at a time), but now they are getting too strong from that. So, now I walk them two at a time, but I live in a pretty rural area where there aren't many people walking around. If I was walking them in a high traffic area, I'd only walk one at a time (which I still might do, depending on how the pups mature).

again if you have all three, and there are no distractions its not a big issue, but what happens when another dog comes up? This may not be a big deal with a 7 month old pup (althought the dog in my sig is 9 months and would go after anything with fur from from about 12 weeks old) but as they mature temperments, and they will only get stronger.

Preventing a tragedy, or legal situation may be best done by walking them one at a time. Regardless of a small girl, or a large girl...if you're dogs were attacked by another dog you lose all control in that situation. The issues that exist at 7 mos will only be compounded as the dogs mature.

Hi Lissa

Welcome to the forum

Wow three 7 month olds . I'm assuming they are siblings? What made you decide to get three pups?

It doesn't matter how good they listen it is not a good idea to walk all three together by yourself period. One major factor is what screamin'eagle already stated. Yours may be good but what will you do if an off lead dog comes and attacks while you are walking. There are way too many irresponsible people out there who let their dogs roam unattended

Also another important thing to think about is pups need to have one on one training on top f being around each other to make proper human bonds and learn boundaries IMO

Post some pictures please

In Milwaukee, this is part of the BSL here. You must be physically able to maintain the animal. Your best bet, especially if you live somewhere with high traffic or lots of dogs, would be to walk one at a time or get someone to walk with you.

I would take this advise. Also, do you carry a break stick?

Questions are always welcome here!

I know this breed pretty well (but I haven't been involved long enough to brag) and I would be terrified to walk three at one time. I've seen and been involved in dog fights, and it's scary! I couldn't imagine trying to break up 3 dogs, maybe a fourth stray, all by myself!

I've also been involved in legal issues about a dog fight. Save yourself a heartache, and walk one at a time, always have them on leash, and get a breakstick and Directstop. A breakstick is a thin wedge used to seperate latched dogs, but never ever use it on any breed but bulldogs. Another breed will redirect, while a bulldog won't.

And dog parks? Don't do that either I've learned my lesson there too. Too many irresponsible idiots go there, and it really isn't as much education or good for the pup as it is detrimental.

And as another side note are you prepared to crate and rotate if one of your dogs mature and becomes Dog Aggressive (DA)?

Thanks for asking questions, please make sure you read the advice given and don't walk all three at once any longer. Its a danger to you, your dogs and of course the breed, should something happen.
