Default Christmas Dinner-What are you serving?

appetizers:

stuffed clams
party puffs, small appetizers, artichoke hearts, olives.

1st meal:

stuffed shells w/ meat sauce and meatballs.

2nd meal:

spiral ham, kielbasi, sweet potatos, corn, potato salad (MIL is bringing red potato salad and the kielbasi)

dessert:

hazelnut coffee, chocolates w/ caramel, and desserts that my brother in law and his wife are bringing...

should i skip the stuffed shells and just do the ham dinner??

Impressive dinner plans!!

ME: that would depend how many you have to feed. If it's not too much work, I'd leave the shells on the menu; it's nice to have options.

Here is ours this year; hubby is flying back from NYC that day, so it's just the two of us ( and he might not be too hungry, after he crashed the above two festivities, LOL):

Home made prime rib
Home made garlic mashed potatoes

Dessert: don't know yet

I'm making the following:

Christmas Eve - - Shrimp and Corn Soup and french bread topped with Crawfish AuGratin

Christmas Day - - Seafood Gumbo (shrimp, crawfish, lump crab meat, crab claws, & oysters for pot #2....I don't do oysters) over rice and homemade butter pecan ice cream with some yummy fresh shelled pecans from a local orchard down the street

My mom is also making stuff but I'm not sure what.

i was thinking that, but wasnt sure.. i think a 9 lb ham, and the rest would be enough right?? it would have been 4 lbs of shells, plus the 9lb ham, plus the kielbasi, and everything else...

He says it is clean and comfortable, with interesting guests (artsy types), and he has had a lot of interesting conversations (hubby is like the APBT - highly social ).

Y'all eat like us!

Although I haven't asked my mom what she's cooking, we ALWAYS have a honeybaked ham, sweet potato casserole, baked beans (complements of my great-aunt), potato salad, green bean casserole, creamed corn, & a pecan & pumpkin pie for desert.
