Question Raw Diets

Does anyone have an easy raw diet that can be introduced gradually. I already give my Dogs a little raw chicken or ground round once in a while, but just a little so as not to upset their stomachs.

If you are open to cooking for the canine omnivores of your family, I can recommend Dr. Pitcairn's book on natural care for dogs and cats; it incudes very detailed nutritional info and recipes.

I also invited someone who feeds her dog raw. Her name is Raven. She hasn't joined yet but look out for her. She can also help you out.....

this is one of the most helpful RAW diet sites that I have found.

http://www.rawdogranch.com/howmuch.htm#spreadsheet.

It is a Microsoft Excell spreadsheet that allows a person to enter the percentages one wants to feed (such as 50% RMB, 10% Organs, 30% Muscle Meat, 5% Veggies, 5% Other), the variety of meats you want to feed, and the days you want to feed them. It then puts them all in a "menu" for the week, complete with the weight you will need to feed for that product for that day and a "grocery list" for the week. You can then print it out and use it to go shopping and to assemble what you will need for the day/week/month. The spreadsheet organizes all the details of variety, weights, and when so it is less overwhelming and confusing.

Oprah actually had her vet on tv the other day and showed how to feed raw.
She had lamd or chicken, some cooked brown rice, a couple of cooked potatoes and carots. The vet said dogs need low carbs.
