Its just because I have a big family and I did all my shopping at once plus I bought myself a Christmas present which was a carpet steamcleaner, and I bought myself a down mattress cover. The rest I spent on others. Except the tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet and a couple pairs of jeans that I needed.

I'm slightly... enraged.

The last 7 years I've worked for a doctor who was VERY generous at Christmas time and was VERY thankful for having great employees. I always got an amazing bonus with lots of gift cards for things like gas or restaurants or something that I enjoyed.

6 months ago I moved 300 miles away and work for another doctor. I'm office manager and am working my ass off to straighten up his clinic. It's clear that nobody's been in charge for a long time. So I'm bringing all the staff education that I created from my last job to this job so the staff knows what they are talking about. I'm cleaning house and saving the doctor money that he was wasting on misc things.

My bonus was $50, a handful of candy, and a pair of F'ing Christmas socks. WTF??? I'm so glad I didn't look at it until AFTER I left the clinic. I wouldn't even know how to respond the that in front of the doctor and his wife.

If this clinic was a poor little clinic that didn't make much money, I'd be ok with this bonus. But it's not. They have a huge house with like 200 acres and lots of expensive crap. I'm not a person to get jealous over someone with money, because they've worked hard for that, but I'm working my ass of for them and all I get is $50 and a bag full of crap!

Ugh... I'm gonna have a hard time going into work tomorrow morning....

I got a $25 gift card for target from the company I work for, still have not recieved anything from my boss. Last year he gave us $15 gift card to target.

Well since I work for the state..which is a joke when it comes to taking care of teir employees... we got a christmas card from the superintendent of the prison I work at.... oh and they fed us lunch..lol...

My wife started her new job less than a month ago and her boss gave each employee on of those $100 prepaid visa cards.

Ok, since you asked BUT don't be mad with me. We get a bonus right before Thanksgiving. Mine was very good

So far for Christmas the lawyers have given money and gift cards. My gifts so far:

$500 cash, so far...i'll be getting more tomorrow
$200 gift card for Bloomindales.....

Bonus, wtf is that?
My bonus is I'll be working 3 of the 4 days the plant is shut down and that includes Christmas Eve.
I get Christmas day off, Whoopee
Go back to work the 26th and then I'll use up the last of my vacations days and be off the 27th though Jan 2nd and if they are not careful I may put in for 3 more days and not go back till Jan 7th.

Ugh, I just never worked for someone who didn't give a GREAT bonus. I'm so..... at a loss for words.

Debbie, I can't believe the parents don't give you a great tip or SOMETHING! I had a few dog sitting clients the ROCKED! When I moved, a coworker of mine took some of my clients. I told her who gave the best gifts and took the best care of me. Those were the ones who she picked as clients.
