We always use frontline for ticks and fleas. It is a once a month treatment.

Frontline is the most common. Advantix is another. The newest product available is ProMeris. Sounds like a good thing but I have no experience with it yet.

There are alot of products, but the latter fall and early spring are bad tick times depending on where you live. I use frontline plus, and coupling that with making sure that there are no leaves, garden debris, foilage, dead leaves, etc keep things under control in my neck of the woods.

Ive also heard good things about Revolution

The problem is, most don't deflect the ticks, but kill them within 24 hours. So while those products may work in the long run, most of the time you'll remove the ticks before they work.
