Cupcake has recently started peeing whenever she sees someone and tries to get their attention. Its really frustrating because even though I ignore her when she comes over wanting attention in a pushy manner she still continues to do this. As soon as she is close to you she sits down and pees. She started doing this about a week ago and its really gross because she has a really long tail and when she wags it, it slings pee everywhere! I need some help on this as none of the dogs I've ever owned have had this over. Cupcake is only 3 months old so do you think she will grow out of this habit?

May want to just double check for a UTI, bladder infection or other health issue if it starts happening more frequently or at other times.

If it is truly excited/submissive peeing she should absolutely grow out of it.

Make sure not to reprimand her for it or it will become worse.

Ignoring, walking away and getting her out where she can go asap will be key factors in helping her get over it.

What also may help you is starting some basic obedience which builds up confidence and may totally distract her from the excitement of a greeting. That also helps to builds confidence.

The only one I had who did this was a rescue; it took her a couple months to get through the stage.
