Default My Husband Is Traveling to Manhattan - Would Appreciate Suggestions

My husband has an opportunity to visit with his sister (flying in from Europe with her daugher and husband) in NYC.

We were not expecting this and our budget this year has been sabotaged by medical bills.

He would love to go (I cannot go, due to being grounded by MS, but I would be so happy if he could see his sis and niece), however, the hotel prices are a bit much for us this year.

If he goes, he would be in Manhattan 12/21 - 12/25.

Does anyone have any suggestions for inexpensive B&Bs, hotels in the Mid Town, Upper East Side areas?

His budget is less than $100.00 a day (I know, I know)?

Husband is well traveled, and all he really needs is a clean place to sleep a few hours each night and to shower.

Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

I dont think you are going to find a hotel in NYC for less than 100. bucks a day. Its likely that the cheapest hotel is over 200. My advice is to check the outer boroughs like Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island for cheaper hotels and or B&B's.

You might also check NJ, that will probably be the cheapest way to go. I found this place:

Its close to the major bridges and the Penn station train in Newark goes right into the city.

Thanks Scratchin. I don't know how good they are, but if you are only sleeping in them, they work
