Default Pit bull proof toys

Do they even MAKE such a thing? But seriously, what kind of toys do your dogs have? Cru, our GSD mix, has been with us a year and we've had the same toys for him without him destroying them. Well, four weeks with Delilah has completely destroyed each and every toy we had. Cru loves stuffies, but Deli tore them all apart and threw the stuffing EVERYWHERE! I need a hard to destroy toy. PLEASE HELP!

Nylabones.

If you go with the jolly ball, make sure it's the hard plastic one! Even then, no guarantees!

We give our dogs kongs and kong balls. They seem to last the longest in my house.

there is no such a thing...you can only prolong the eventaul disaster to the toy! lol.

I've always known people to use bowling balls with the holes filled in. I am not kidding either...Shon or Marty can show you pics of what Im talking about! The are very tough, usually large enough for the dog to not fit his mouth around, and will occupy his time.

An old lawnmower tire works for awhile too...

It ended up being just a sidewall though lol

Here's Beau with a bowling ball...

I'll see if I can find some more of Sheena with hers we had to take it away after 5 mins, she was chewing it up

Edited to add the results of Sheena with one without the holes filled in...

tire biters are good. Black kongs hold up for a while. I also like those soft ball sized rope-knots they sell. Brinks goes through them, but they clean his teeth so nice before he shreds them. It takes him many weeks of intermittent use though.

Oh ya... another good thing I've found, is when I have an old pair of jeans I'm going to ditch, I cut off the leg and tie a knot in the middle. They make great tug toys.

I do this too...Big girl loves it. She has a couple of kongs and I buy Tennis balls but she makes short work of those. I go to the resale shop and buy old stuffed animals pretty cheap, cut any button eyes or whatnot off and give them to her to destroy...she is real nice to them for a couple days and then rips them up.

I got to go with coconuts and woodies. Bubba absolutely goes crazy over coconuts, every time we go to the Keys we HAVE to bring some home. One year we brought home 54 of them-he was in hog heaven!!!! Everytime we threw one out of the boat, he dropped the one he had in his mouth and ran for the new one. This went on for about an hour. He grabs them with his front feet and literally rips them down to the nut. The green ones take some time (a few days, actually) but the brown ones take about half an hour. Once he ran out of coconuts, which took quite a few months, he started on the woodies, the large oak tree branches that we cut and stack for firewood for our outdoor firepit.

Lucy loves woodies, (I find them in our bed) I have yet to put her on a coconut, we are fresh out at the moment, but I have a feeling she will have a ball with them.

I use the critter jolly ball, and the one I've had for five months just got thrown away. It's all about how you supervise the destruction

I use nylabones, soup bone size!
