Sleeping. I had three of mine pulled out at one time. Let them knock you out. You wake up, go home and eat soft stuff for a couple of days.

I need to go have mine pulled. Both on the bottom are partially erupted. It really sucks and the left is really painful. I've heard sleeping is best. Good luck.

Tell them to knock you the hell out!
Without the general, it's not painful, just a little uncomfy now and then. A couple times I felt like my nose was being broken in a numb sort of way. For me, it wasn't the pain, it was the sounds! The breaking, ripping, and tearing...oh, no thank you!

I got 2 pulled at once and another pulled a different time. I just got the local and had it over with, it didn't really hurt getting done(although the sound of the root breaking free of the bone when they pushed it down was a little unsettling ) The worst part I thought was the bleeding afterwards, I was sick from the taste of the bloody gauze in my mouth for the first hour or so. I don't like getting put to sleep.

I had five wisdom teeth and they had to cut them out. And sleeping there was really not much pain.

I'm 21 and they have never pulled in. In fact, they said I don't even have them in the....top part?? And the bottom ones are easier to pull, but it's doubtful it'll ever happen.

I'd be knocked out though. I once had to have a tooth pulled (a baby tooth) and they just gave me a local. They told me to shut up multiple times, claiming I'm scaring the other patients. lol

it's SOO uncomfortable!!!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth cut out at once, and it was my first time under general. Let me tell you what, going under anesthesia was the most fun Ive ever had at the dentist, or any doctor, hell, even sometimes in normal life. But afterwards, the amount of blood I threw up was quite disturbing. And I dont remember much of that day. Thats disturbing as well. Id get put to sleep again if they were pulling them. The thought of some guy rooting around in my mouth with a wicked pair of pliers while I was conscious would freak me out.

I had my two top wisdom teeth pulled at the same time under local anesthetic. The doc prescribed me Tylenol 3's etc...but it wasn't needed. The bottoms are generally much worse than the tops though...sometimes surgery is req'd. Good luck. lol.

I think I was about 18ish when mine had to come out. They were giving me massive headaches and I couldn't leave them in there. They were all impacted so the doc had to go digging. I don't think they even gave me an option of staying away because of that; but I'd rather have them knock me out anyway.

GENERAL ANESTHESIA, even if it's spelled wrong.
(unless the dr spells it wrong, that may be cause for concern)

I had all 4 taken out at once. Then I got dry socket. Nasty, nasty. Good luck, and please do get knocked out. You'll be happy you did.
