I went to have photos taken of the fur babies this year and Olan Mills flat our refused to take photos of an APBT type dog, regardless of CGC or TT titles. I couldn't believe it as this was the first time I have ever had a photo company tell me that they won't photograph APBTs or other BSL breeds.

Actually, I've been denied by EVERY photo place I've contacted except for, get this, Glamour Shots (which was located in the mall). However, they closed down a year or two ago.

what! is it illegal to own the APBT in your area? If not...I'd seriously look into that policy. It may have been a personal issue, and not a company policy. If it was personal lodge a formal discrimination complaint. If it is a polciy...I'd still file a complaint if it's not illegal to have those dogs in that area.

It is by no means illegal in my area. Mia - We had to do Glamour shots three years ago when we couldn't find someone. Private photographers will do them but as Mia stated, companies have policies against them. I plan on finding out more about that from the company. I have emailed them but haven't recieved a reply as of yet. I asked to see the policy in photographing dogs but I didn't mention anything about the breed as I want to see what it says before I address the issue. I typically do the photos myself but I wanted to include myself this year in the photo instead of just the dogs. (Any for anyone who has tried to set the camera up on a tripod and running to get into the photo with the dogs curious as to what is going on, it will try your patience. ).

This is what they referred me to: 10. "Can I get my pet photographed?" We no longer photograph pets at any location on a regular basis. From time to time some studios hold special pet photography events, ask your studio for details. Assistive animals are welcome.
