Default Rescues!! Get your dog out there!!!

Some ideas to promote your rescue dogs, fundraisers, etc..

go to all petco/petsmart/superpets and ask if you can hold adoption events.

Groomers, boarding facilities, feed stores, network with other rescues/shelters on crossposting dogs for each other.

do Santa, easter, halloween picture taking - use a good digital camera, printer, and nice cards, and you have yourself a fundraiser event that promotes your group, showcases your dogs, and raises funds..

post flyers of your dogs at boarding facilities, vet offices, groomers, feed stores, supermarkets, anywhere and everywhere..

get adoption vests for your dogs to wear while out in public.

ask other rescues to join with you to do an adoption event at a nice park or store, this way everyone networks and works together, and all dogs are showcased..

hold poker runs with local motorcycle chapters, you would be surprised at how many motorcycle people would love to do a charity event for dogs...

hold a Bark in the park, where people can come and for $5 walk their dog to support rescue... have food, stuff for sale, other rescue/shelters join you.

tricky trays- another way to showcase your rescue/shelter.... and get the dogs out there..

I had the same question, heres what google gives us. sounds fun!

Tricky Tray:
Pronunciation: 'tri-kE 'trA
Function: noun
Plural: tricky trays
Synonyms: penny sale, penny auction,
penny social, gift auction,
chinese auction, silent auction,

brown bag auction,
dark horse, basket games
Alternative Spelling: trickytray, trickytrays
1: a fund raising event for a church, school or other organization where guests buy tickets, then place them in a container next to the item they would like to win. Items can be a single item or a group of items based on a theme. Once everyone has had the opportunity to place his or her tickets in the container, the drawing for the prizes begins. If your number matches the winning number drawn, You win that prize.

thats what tricky trays are, people bid on items, which raises money for rescues.. kinda like lonberger tricky trays, where people bid on those baskets to win.. you get alot of nice stuff together, put it in a basket, and have a tricky tray, alot of high schools do them for cheerleading, girl scouts, etc...

yes! they have them often at ABD shows to benefit the clubs..
great idea. They have lots of stuff set out to win.. a little bag in front of each item with the items name on it. You buy so many tickets for a dollar or whatever and then put your tickets in what bags you want to try for that prize. Then a club person picks a ticket out of each bag for the winning ticket... super fun, so glad I saw that post, thank you. We are doing a fund raiser of some kind every month this year so lots of ideas here! so happy.
