Default Entering second week..

and "Lucy" is still bleeding!? Two days ago I thought she was gonna finnally find some comfort at home. Her swelling was going down, and her bleeding was almost finished too. Then I awoke yesterday morning to a different situation. Her private area was once again swollen beyond belief, and the bleeding seemed to have picked up a bit too? With the swelling once again the area almost seems beet red.
On the 16th she is set to have her operation. I'll be glad when that's over, and she can no longer go into "heat",anymore. What an experience this has turned out tove
I'm sure glad my friend showed me the benefits of hydrogen peroxcide for cleaning blood!

I just might try that. Fortunately we don't have any carpets in our house! It's either tile floors or wood floors, which makes clean up a snap! It's my clothes that is taking a beating! Lucy is a 60 pound "Lap Dog", who must be on my lap everytime I drive somewhere! So everyday my pants & shirts are stained with her blood.

I'm curious, can the bleeding last the entire period that she is in heat? I figure I'm pretty lucky. During Lucy time of being in "heat",the rainy season has started in Puna. I think the constant rain has washed away her scent and made it virtually impossible for male dogs to pick up on whats going on...
