Default Time To Play The Game! SUKI!

This is a game to get to know each other a little better. It's real easy to play. I start by asking a member a dog related question. It can be anything about their dogs, their taste in dogs, dog food, dog toys, dog books whatever. Once that member answers my question, they get to ask any member they choose a dog related question. From there, we just keep it going. If someone leaves the thread open for too long by not answering their question, the asker can redirect the question to someone else.

You can ask someone the same question that was asked of you or anyone else.

My question goes to.........Galadriel

Scenerio Quesion> You are walking your dog down the street. As you come up on a house, you notice a dog in the front yard running loose. The dog runs out to the street and stands about 6 feet away from you barking. Now your dog is getting turned on and wanting to fight. How would you handle the situation?

Hi, Alan! Good to be here, thanks for having me!

Interesting question. I haven't had this happen with Hera, fortunately, but I did have a similar situation once when walking my moms APBT several years ago. I'd tighten fat girl's lead up and try to get her back behind my legs. First, I'd yell as loud as I could to the house "COME GET YOUR &%^(*&$%$*& DOG!!!!" I'd lean toward the offending dog, stomp my foot at him, and yell at him to get back, trying to be imposing (which may or may not work at 5'4" and 100 pounds, but what the hell!). Pick up a couple handy rocks, and start easing me and my dog back down the street. If the dog follows...well..that's what the rocks are for. Pull out the old cell phone, call animal control.

My question is for lockjaw.
You go to a show with your dogs and a couple friends. One of your dogs is an unspayed female who is at the beginning of her heat cycle and you haven't noticed yet. A buddy of yours want to go socialize, check out some other dogs and asks to take the female with him. Nearly an hour later he comes back, freaking out and apologizing because she got away from him, but not to worry! He got, her, she's fine and he is so so sorry! You brush it off and continue on with your day.
A few weeks later you take her in for her check up, and she's pregnant. Would you make the friend pay for the spay/abort?

I would move. But not without a damn good fight!

Question for tat2stuff. You are walking along the street with Bella. You are alone. All of a sudden 3 dogs appear and surround you and Bella. They are beginning to get aggressive. What do you do?

ok, a lot of unknowns here like what kind of dogs they are, but assuming they are larger dogs, my first instinct would be to pick bella up(since she is so small) and try to get myself between the dogs and her. I would then try to drive the dogs off with calm stern commands while putting distance between us. If they continued to advance and an attack seemed immanent, I would be forced to swiftly end their lives.

Maryellen the spotlight is now on you..

You enter Rufus in a contest with a grand prize of $100,000.00. You find out that Rufus has been picked as the winner. You read the fine print on the prize form and it appears this contest was only open to un altered dogs. Rufus needs to be at the awards ceremony in 2 months. Do you secretly run out and get Rufus some
Neuticles so he can show up in all his masculineish glory or do you forfeit the $100,000 prize.

If I have waited years for this job, and it's finally mine, there's a really good chance I would leave without him. Hopscotch, Purple and Dexter will be at my side.

Chiapit....

You just participated in a hike to benefit your local animal shelter. You win first prize, because you generated the most money! It's a huge gift basket, full of gift certificates, dog treats, toys and accessories. Do you donate it back to the shelter?

Yes, it would benefit the shelter dogs much more than it would my two spoiled heathen dogs.

A stray dog wanders up to your house and starts hanging around, it gets along beautifully with your other pets and your son falls in love and begs to keep it. However money is tight due to unexpected expenses and you are at your local ordinance pet limit already. You try to locate the owner but have no luck. What do you do with this dog?

Hmm, I would keep it until I found a suitable home. I would make sure visits were aloud from me and my son. And keep in contact for a while until the dog is settled. If I could I would place it with family.

Suki
You come home from work one night and find that your dog has chewed the tire and the seat off of your Harley. What do you do?
