Default Hey spider Girl!!

So I found this critter on the side of my house.. been there a few days now.. any idea what it is? I can't get a pictureof the back side of it cause it ain't willing to turn over, and I ain't brave enough to move it... but its all yellow striped on the back.. neat looking actually.. so what is it oh ye of much spider knowledge?...

LOL! You guys are killin' me. I'm blushing =)

NC, it's an argiope, also called an orb weavers, writing spiders, and garden spiders depending on where you're from. I had thought about having one tattooed at one point. Oh so pretty! And what do you think about those webs?!

I thought about trying to stick it in a big gallon jug and seeing what kind of web it would build... but I don't want to kill it or piss it off either..lol

haha! It would have to be bigger than a jug. They build webs that can exceed 6 feet across. Something to see first thing in the morning, covered in dew =)
