Danielle,
Why are you so obsessed with Bowzers weight? He is a beautiful young dog who will one day grow in to a very handsome adult male, no matter what his eventual weight may be His ribs won't have sprung yet either
Just because his sire was 65lbs it does not mean that Bowzer will be that weight. He could be much heavier
We have Nala(55lbs) who is Dam to Scooby(75lbs), Daphnee(70lbs) and Spud(80lbs) Nala's litter sister Gypsy(65lbs) produced eight pups, now adults these range from 60lbs right up to 90lbs
It really want make a difference what his end weight will be it is all about loving him and keeping him fit and healthy
Believe me the problem is getting the weight off once they put on a few pounds
Bowzer also has a lot of exercise and all though very good for him, he will burn up loads of calories Bowzer will mature when he is good and ready and at 6 months of age 40lbs is a good weight
Keep taking the pictures and the vids and once he is all grown up you will wish he was likkle again
All the best for 2009 xx

Brando is 60lbs at 14 months. His Borther from the previous litter same parents is 92lbs!
Brando won't get that big...thank God!
He's probably got about another 15lbs to go I reckon, judging by the amount of loose skin around his head, neck and chest.
The thing is with Bullies, they really do come in all shapes and sizes. Some are thin and athletic, others are so heavy they can barely run...it's the character that they all have in common!

Unhappy Weight

I do not know why you found the reply rude as i was only pointing out that it is a lottery and no one no matter how experienced will be able to tell you Bowzer's final weight You have asked this sort of question before, to which i think i answered "enjoy Bowzer while he is a puppy" Sorry i can't find the thread.
I should not of used the word obsessed but if you knew me well then you would of know how to take the remark, so i apologies I can not see anywhere else that was rude just examples

Well i wasn't expecting that on New Years Day but hey ho

I just didn't take it as a pleasant reaction to a curious post. To be honest, I would prefer him to be a good size at maturity. But its no big deal. I like bigger dogs, mostly bully breeds. That's why I have no interest in a mini. But I will not jeopardize his health at all. I try to keep him fit. But I did appreciate your examples. no worries though, i dont hold a grudge. i still love you. Im just a sensitive fool. LOL. I don't think he will even reach 65, i plan to have him a bit thinner then his dad, and a lot more conditioned. In his puppy hood, im trying to keep him more plump. my boyfriend likes to call him meat ball. LOL.

I have four Bull terriers all fully grown.

The smallest, Lilly is 27 Kilos, Willow her litter sister is 36 Kilos

The UK Kennel Club breed standard says

There are neither weight nor height limits, but there should be the impression of maximum substance for size of dog consistent with quality and sex
