| Hey i just had my pits ears done and they are a little short for my likings but thats besides the point..our vet told us they shouldent be taped until after the sutures are removed.yet everyone else i talked to said they taped theirs right away..what is best? and is taping a pits ears different from any other dogs ears? |

taping can be done at either time. both ways are effective. keep it clean and changed. have the vet show you how to do it when they tape it after the stitches are removed. |

| I had my dogs ears cropped when he was a little over 4 months old. His stood up right away. 10 days later, after they took the stiches out I had no problems at all. If they cropped your dogs ears really short, like you said, you shouldn't even have to worry about them not standing up. ![]() |
