Default Does your dog do either of these things?

I have owned several American Pit Bull Terriers in the close to 25 years I have been in the breed and only my present dog literally ask to take a shower. He doesnt do it all the time. If he starts getting dirty, when I take a shower, he will follow me in there and stand at the door. If I open the shower door and ask if he wants a shower, he will calmly walk in and let me bath him.

The other thing he likes to do is beat on the door very loudly, only in the morning when I am asleep, if he needs to go out and releave himself.

We dont have one that currently does this, but I used to have a chia and she would always want in the shower...she LOVED the water! We couldnt even water the grass or flower beds with her around, she would chase and eat the water....LMAO...I like dogs that like water...they are a lot of fun!

The beating on the door...well My pattermutt....LMAO...he will come beside the bed (mind you he will let you sleep in, and only call you when he HAS to go) and pound on the floor...I mean pound/pounce call it what you will. He will do it both front paws will slap rather hard at the floor until you wake up and let him out. If you are awake already....and he is telling you he needs outside...and you dont let him out...he will do it then as well..It is really funny, but I tell ya, sometimes it is annoying!

It probably would be best if you did start a new thread...you will get more responses that way, and will not take a way from the OT.....we try as hard as we can to stay on topic.....
but to keep it short....it would be worth a try...or crate training first!

My two boys would hop in the shower with me if I would let them. Queen hates taking baths and she runs and hides. But she swims like a fish. She is a funny one.

Ive never had a dog do that, but I had a cat obsessed with taking showers anytime someone went to take a shower the cat would race you to the bathroom and jump into the tub and wait...it was odd.
