Default Ivan & Jake

Here's a pic of my boys, my GSD's. They were so smart and loyal. I miss them, but not the furry tumbleweed by product!
Ivan is the white one. He was the smartest darn dog I ever owned!
He was 12 when we lost him in October, 2004, basically, to old age. His old hips just gave out, and his quality of life was just nonexistant.
Jake is the black one. He was Ivan's sidekick, they did everything together.
Jake was two years younger than Ivan. We lost Jake two months after Ivan. He developed an inoperable brain tumor, he was having seizures. His last seizure really took a lot out of him, we had to make the decision to put him to sleep. We lost Jake in December, 2004.
RIP, guys.
We lost three dogs within five months in 2004, starting with Pete, in July.

Oh, what pretty GSDs. I had a GSD whom I rescued from my next door neighbor. The neighbor used to keep him in the back yard and beat him when he barked. Poor old guy was lonely. I got him when he was six and had him for seven years. He too got hip dyplasia and couldn't walk anymore...poor old guy. So I had him put to sleep at 13. When i first got him he had separation anxiety really bad...lol. would tear the house apart when left alone. He was also a big roamer til I got him neutered because he would sneak off at night and come home wounded.
Your dogs were beautiful. Yeah poor old Zach, the GSD used to produce hair by the bucketful. He had a beautiful coat though when he was brushed. but yeah, GSDs seem to have LOTS of hair.
