 I start my new job on Sunday! Well so im excited. I start my new job on Sunday at the local Humane Society. This is the same Humane Society that PNWPBR was able to overturn the no pit bull policy earlier this year and have created a successful Pit Bull adoption program there. I will be starting as an adoption councelor, helping the current team further understand what goes into making a good match with animal and family, and also doing the evaluations of the Pit Bulls going up for adoption. In three months my position will be changing and we dont know for sure what direction it will take... either helping in creating a Behavior Department or revamping the Adoptions Department entirely. The shelter has a new Executive Director and Operations Manager and my view for the shelters and theirs are very well aligned. Im just excited that I was asked to be a part of progress and change.   |
