Default Wallace Collector Disc

Hello everyone. I was going to be really excited to post this on the forums, but there has been a kink in the works in that we sold out before I got the chance. I sent out an email to Wallace's mailing list yesterday, and by lunch time they were already all spoken for. Here's the jist of what's going on.
--------------------------------
As a fundraiser for Animal Farm Foundation ( www.animalfarmfoundation.org ) we've teamed up with Hero Disc USA( www.herodiscusa.com ) to produce a very limited edition Wallace the Pit Bull Super Hero collector disc through Hero Disc's HFR Fundraiser Program. 50 discs were made (25 red discs with a gold image and 25 blue discs with a silver image) and the stamp will never be used again. The image actually has a funny story behind it. The first year that Wallace and I started competing and headed down to the Skyhoundz World Finals, we passed through Metropolis. We stopped at a gas station to fill up and there was one of those things where you get behind the cut out and stick your head in the spot to take a picture. Obviously, since we were in Metropolis, the image was of Superman, and obviously the idea goes through my head to hoist Wallace up and put his big old head in the spot and have Josh snap away with his camera. (Wallace is such a good sport. ) When I saw Hero Disc come out with this fundraiser program that included their Super Hero disc, I immediately thought of the picture we took of "Super Wallace", and thought what a perfect match it would be to have that image on that disc. To top it off, what better purpose to do it than to raise money for a great organization like Animal Farm Foundation in order to help the Pit Bull cause. The image needed to be doctored quite a bit so the stamp would work, but just thought people might find it humorous that the image is actually derived from a real photo of Wallace's head in a Superman cut out. The discs were set to sell at $20 each and all profits will go directly to Animal Farm Foundation.

I would like to thank Hero Disc USA for their help in putting this together in time for the Canine Legislation Conference, and for their help with the art work in order for it to work on the disc. Check out their link above for some great canine disc products. Thanks also to Animal Farm Foundation for letting me run with this and hopefully we will generate some good funds to contribute to the cause.
-----------------------------------

I expected a decent response, but not quite this decent. I was planning on taking at least 20 to the Canine Legislation Conference this weekend in Kansas City, but due to the response, I am only able to bring about 10 down now. To give everybody a shot and try and make the best of the situation, these remaining 10 discs will be auctioned off (silent auction at my booth most likely) with a $20 reserve to try and raise even more money for Animal Farm Foundation. So if you really want one and are going to be in KC, you still have a shot. Or if you know somebody that is going to the conference you can have them bid on them for you. If they do not sell, there is a full waiting list for these 10 and all the discs will be gone by the end of the weekend. Due to the response, this will most likely be an annual benefit, so hopefully people that didn't get one of these will get a shot at the next limited edition disc that is produced. Thanks everyone for their amazing support. I am honored that this went a little too well. Give those pups a hug from us and good luck bidding for those that will have the opportunity.

Roo and Wallace

I'm finally getting this wrapped up and all the discs have been shipped and the money has been sent to Animal Farm Foundation. Due to the demand, I reserved 2 final discs and have placed them on Ebay so everybody could have a shot at them if they wanted. I autographed them for myself and Wallace to hopefully increase the value and get as much money generated as possible. All proceeds of these auctions will go to Animal Farm Foundation just like the disc sales. I'm hoping that after these auctions, the total will be over $700 raised. This is the last chance to get one of these discs new from the shipping box since the stamp is retired. Here are the links so let's see how much money we can generate for a great organization.

Dang it! I did away with my PayPal account (due to hubby having a severe spending problem ). I want to bid, but money order is the way I have to do things these days.

Good luck to the winner!

We'd do money order as well for orders, however the prices are getting up there so not sure what you're willing to spend. WOW!!

Also, just a note as well that the winning bidder on both discs does not even own a pit bull. Changing minds, and gaining support from different circles.......

Is your user name, your name, or is it a tribute to R.F. wallace? Just out of curiosity, I haven't been a member her long, and when a user has a similar name to a legendary red nose breeder, I just am dying for answers

Oh man! I wish I didn't miss out! One of those would have been awesome for the Walkin' For Raven prize basket! Congrats on the fundraising anyway! That rocks!
