Mama dog

The puppies last night when we brought them home.

Mama dog gave birth literally in the middle of nowhere, at the edge of a cornfield.
A very special man met her just before she had the babies (2 weeks ago) and he's been feeding and caring for her since then.
She's in amazingly good shape, as are the puppies, but she had to fend off coyotes at nightfall each evening and, well, the middle of nowhere in a dirt den isn't a good place to raise a litter anyway.
So he made some calls, one of them to us, and she and her little family have come here, to A Paw Up.

She and the puppies will be adoptable in approximately 6 weeks, when the babies are altered at 8 weeks and she's spayed as well.
